Dog Warden

JOB320 | Part Time

Location: Hampshire | United Kingdom

Salary: 20000 - 25000 / Year

We are looking to recruit a Dog Warden for Temp work.

Job Purpose
To provide a comprehensive Dog Warden Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To deal with stray and lost dogs, and dangerous dogs in conjunction with police

  • To enforce anti-fouling legislation, including the enforcement of fixed penalty notices as appropriate.

  • Responding to complaints/enquiries relating to animal welfare and assisting Environmental Protection Team officers with barking dog complaints.

  • To assist with animal welfare licensing, excluding riding establishments and zoos.

  • To undertake specific tasks alone, subject to experience, training and workload of the team/section.

  • To be available out of normal working hours, to assist in specific projects as required.

  • To undertake any other duties, appropriate to post and grade, as may be assigned.

  • To be available out of normal working hours to assist in specific cases.

  • To undertake individual tasks alone, independent of the team, subject to experience, training and workload of the division.

  • To be aware of individual responsibilities in terms of health and safety, including identifying at appraisal, appropriate health and safety training.

  • To assist in the staff induction process for all new members of staff as appropriate.

  • To ensure that duties are approached taking into consideration the principles of Best Value.
