Leisure Attendant

We are looking for Leisure Attendant for Temp work.

Job Role and Purpose
To ensure the delivery of high quality customer services; by providing a pleasant and welcoming environment to all service users and must be prepared to undertake occasional duties in other areas of the service when necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·         Responding to customer complaints and queries in a polite and professional manner. In instances where you are unable to resolve the complaint, ensure an effective hand-over to the Duty Manager.

·         Presenting yourself, both in appearance and behaviour, in an appropriate and professional manner.

·         Meeting and greeting service users in a polite and friendly manner.

·         Gaining a sound working knowledge of the facility and its activities on offer.

·         The vigilant and constant supervision of the swimming pool and ensuring the safety of service users whilst on Lifeguard duty.

·         Assisting Instructors/Sports Coaches on request of the Duty Manager.

·         Support the provision of Leisure Centre parties and other private bookings on request of the Duty Manager.

·         Provide First Aid when necessary (appropriately trained employees only).

·         Ensuring that all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard and that the facility remains clean at all times.

·         Cleaning of internal and external areas to a high standard using the appropriate equipment in the correct manner and to clean and maintain said equipment.

·         Erecting and dismantling of equipment, and ensuring that correct procedures are followed.

·         Ensuring that all chemicals, cleaning equipment and materials are not left unattended in public areas and that they are returned and correctly stored.

·         Undertaking any other general labouring duties as requested by the Duty Manager.

·         Immediately reporting any faulty or malfunctioning equipment to the Duty Manager. At times it may be necessary to quarantine the equipment beforehand, as to avoid injury.

·         Giving trained assistance to service users to prevent injury, misuse and/or damage to facilities and equipment.

·         Assisting the Duty Manager in emergency evacuation procedures.

·         Ensuring that you undertake a minimum of one staff training session per month, unless otherwise agreed with Assistant/Leisure Centre Manager.

·         The positive promotion of the District Council’s services.

·         Carrying out all duties with regard to the District Council’s aims and objectives and performance management targets.

·         Providing support to other Derbyshire Dales District Council Leisure Centres and/or sites, on reasonable request of the Assistant/Leisure Centre Manager.

·         To carry out all duties with regard to their health and safety implications, crime and disorder implications, data protection implications, and their impact upon the District Council’s equal opportunities and sustainability policies.
