Work & Study

Almost all countries give you permission to work at your free time; hence you can be at your own and find work as internee or expertdepending what back ground you are coming from.

Tuitions Fees

Tuition fees in Canada depend on the subject you choose to study, with some subjects like medicine costing more than others. As a guide, you should expect to pay between $12,000 - $20,000 per year for your undergraduate degree in Canada.

Accommodation

Many post-secondary institutions have accommodation conveniently located on or near campus. Dorms generally have a shared kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities. Some offer optional meal plans where you can pay a set price up-front for two or three meal tickets per day.

Entertainment

Canada is a very active country. It's continental climate means that in winter it is a superb place to embrace classic Canadian pastimes like ice skating, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and, of course, ice hockey. In the summer, the weather is warm and sunny. The opportunity to learn and talk French on a daily basis has also enriched my experience here.

Food

Canadian cuisine varies widely depending on the regions of the nation. The three earliest cuisines of Canada have First Nations, English, Scottish and French roots, with the traditional cuisine of English Canada closely related to British cuisine, while the traditional cuisine of French Canada has evolved from French cuisine and the winter provisions of fur traders. With subsequent waves of immigration in the 19th and 20th century from Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe, South Asia, East Asia, and the Caribbean, the regional cuisines were subsequently augmented.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Students with good achievements may be provided with incentive scholarships following their procedure prescribed by a respective school. Students meeting specific criteria established by the Government may also be provided with social scholarships.

ACADEMIC YEAR

Academic year is divided into semesters and holiday periods. The beginning and end of an academic year and a semester as well as holiday spans are established by each school of higher education individually. In summer students are entitled to at least one month uninterrupted holidays.
