Audit Assistant

Location: Hampshire | United Kingdom

Salary: 20000 - 25000 / Year

We are looking to recruit an Audit Assistant for Temp Work.

Job Purpose

To assist the Group Auditor and Audit Manager in ensuring that a high quality internal audit service is delivered to our clients in accordance with our audit and service plan.

Duties and Responsibilities         

·         To undertake audit assignments including, where appropriate, special investigations.

·         To assist with advisory work for client departments.

·         To identify from audit work undertaken, key areas for reporting to our clients.

·         To prepare draft audit (or other relevant) reports and other correspondence as required.

·         To discuss audit findings and recommendations made with clients and / or senior audit staff.

·         To attend meetings as required.

·         To ensure that work completed complies with relevant performance, quality and professional standards.

·         To adhere to and implement the Council’s Policy on Equality of Opportunity.

·         To contribute to the Councils Sustainability Strategy by being aware of the resources required to undertake this work and making sure that resources are not wasted and are disposed of in a sustainable way.

·         To follow safe working practices and assist in the maintenance of good housekeeping standards in order to achieve a safe and healthy working environment.
