Waking Night Care Assitant

JOB317 | Full Time

Location: Sutton | United Kingdom

Salary: 7.50-8.50 / Hour

1.Waking Night HCA will normally work throughout the night and are therefore responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people who use the service at this time. They will have particular responsibility for monitoring sleep patterns, health conditions, continence, etc as directed by the Supported Living Manager.

2. Waking Night HCA will provide appropriate physical and personal support to individuals during the night including bathing, turning, and continence support.

3. At the beginning of the night and first thing in the morning if the people who use the service are awake and active they will support them. This may include support with personal care, domestic tasks, leisure activities and other general HCA tasks as appropriate.

4 Waking Night HCA will not normally be required to act as Key Workers, however, they will be required to work to individualâs person centred plans and contribute to these as appropriate. This may include attending day-time meetings and activities from time to time and providing information

5. Waking Night HCA are required to meet the requirements of the company  Learning and Development Programme. This will include attending induction and training and meeting the Common Induction Standards. The majority of organised training takes place during the day and Waking Night HCA will be expected to make themselves available for this as required.

6. Waking Night HCA will be required to attend team meetings and workshops during the day on a regular basis.

7. Waking Night HCA will carry out any additional duties delegated to them by the  Nurse on duty which may be appropriately carried out at night.
